Claiming Our Body of Wisdom
How we fear the descent into the depths of our own bodies. We’ve been well trained to fear our flesh. All the lies we have been told about our bodies, and most especially our female bodies, rise up to face us when we decidedly choose to descend into our totally human, yet utterly divine, bodies. But, the descent is most necessary to become completely alive. For women, awareness from the chest up is like being powered by a dim flashlight and we become numb to deep nourishment. It makes life lack luster and challenging to really experience the fullness of the world we live in.
Together, We’re Digging Deep This Time
We’re going to acknowledge what we don’t want to look at because it’s not pretty! I’m reviving a conversation. I’m stirring it up so you can acknowledge the painful pit in your stomach. I’m choosing to bring light to this so no woman is left behind. Let me calmly state that this is exactly what has happened for centuries. Women’s lack of rights, silencing, less-pay-for-equal-work, and a never-ending list of atrocities borne throughout time have been perpetuated by the same reality that motivates humanity today: fear. Fear of a woman’s powerful strength. Fear of a woman’s “no.” Even fear of a woman’s “yes.” Do you feel the emotion building – way down, belly deep? I let my breasts take the lead and I stand up even taller.
Claiming A Deeper Dimension of Ourselves
Perhaps you’ve felt it for a while, that it’s time. It’s time for a leap of no return. Time to claim the real – to let Her have you. All of you! Perhaps you’ve felt it as a call, a whisper, an undeniable roar, or possibly an intense tugging at your heart from the mysterious depths of your womb. Perhaps you’ve felt the pain of holding back or turning away from Her, felt your skin being stretched taught and hardened by doubt and uncertain resistance, barely holding on at the edge of the life you’ve known.

You are life on a specific frequency, a key tone, fulfilling a particular destiny – a purpose that reveals itself, as your human experience unfolds through opportunities to grow and expand. I’m sure that, at some moment of gratitude, we’ve all expressed our thanks for the good we have received. And, I’m sure at any given moment of pain or weakness, we’ve pleaded to a higher power for that which we’ve been denied or most yearned for; be it healing, release, or a solution to a problem or life situation. I know I have! But, my intention here is to welcome you into a deep dive of profound meaning and feeling to call forth the wonder of miracles by way of praying from your deepest knowing – from the silence within the core of your belly, from the mysterious depth of the darkest caverns.

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all? And the reflection in the mirror answers; “When did you forget that you are beauty?” If you’ve been wounded by superficial beauty and you believe that true beauty and self-love is unattainable, then please remember that you are stunning, profoundly bright, shining, wowza-mama beauty. You emanate your real physical, emotional and spiritual gorgeousness. Don’t dull your light and become numb to avoid feeling again. Pass through the open gate of the inner temple to sit before the flame of feeling. Burn beneath the numbness and transform fiery pain into liquid life.

The imagery of dawn or dusk provides a powerful metaphor for the possibility of renewal and clarity of vision. The emergence from darkness of one’s own inner mystery is a transformative passage. As in birth, emergence is a sudden entry into a fresh, new world that needs to be communicated with and explored. The most powerful and obvious interfaces of emergence occur in death and in birth. However, the recognition of emergence in everyday life depends upon awareness and appreciation of transitions and passages.
