Conversations with the Goddess… About the Cosmic Mirror

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?  And the reflection in the mirror answers; “When did you forget that you are beauty?”

If you’ve been wounded by superficial beauty and you believe that true beauty and self-love is unattainable, then please remember that you are stunning, profoundly bright, shining, wowza-mama beauty.  You emanate your real physical, emotional and spiritual gorgeousness.

Don’t dull your light and become numb to avoid feeling again.  Pass through the open gate of the inner temple to sit before the flame of feeling.  Burn beneath the numbness and transform fiery pain into liquid life.

Begin not with the expectation that your wounds must be all healed first, to have forgiven all those who you felt disdain for, to dig up the last vestiges of shame, or that you must be able to source complete inner peace.  That would postpone your joy.  Even in your struggle and sabotages, it is love calling you.

Preparing the way is as simple as imagining that, up until this moment, you’ve filled up one book of life completely and now you’re beginning again with fresh pages. This new book could have a grand name, great subjects and is overflowing with pretty blank pages to be filled with your ecstasy, longings, and prayers.  In fact, this could be a completely new life and you can begin right now.  Don’t carry over the table of contents from the old book.  You only bring what lights your heart on fire!

Self-love is our default when we disengage from all the programs that distort the essential message and we tell ourselves otherwise.  The essential message, the one that sings from the trees, the oceans and your soul, is that you’re beautiful beyond comprehension.  The ultimate conveyance is that you’re so radiant that you can burn through any pain or dark constriction.  You are endlessly flowing streams of passionately rushing love.  It’s a perspective that doesn’t come from magazines, or any other public medium, solely from experience or from spiritual merit.  It comes from getting up really close to yourself in the great cosmic mirror and not shrinking back from your beauty.  You’ll never prove yourself by accomplishment or refinement in order to prepare for loves return.  You are love already!

Self-love is the spring from which we drink to become strong enough to prepare to fly, and then it is the wind that carries us anywhere we want to go.  We will find that love, self-love, has been waiting by the open gate for a very long time.  It’s never too late to let it in and begin again.  Look within to the magical, mystical mirror of your core and declare: “I AM Love!”  And your beauty shines so clear!
