We Are Remembering How to Pray
I’m sure that, at some moment of gratitude, we’ve all expressed our thanks for the good we have received. And, I’m sure at any given moment of pain or weakness, we’ve pleaded to a higher power for that which we’ve been denied or most yearned for; be it healing, release, or a solution to a problem or life situation. I know I have! But, my intention here is to welcome you into a deep dive of profound meaning and feeling to call forth the wonder of miracles by way of praying from your deepest knowing – from the silence within the core of your belly, from the mysterious depth of the darkest caverns. Silence shaking your bones kind of praying that flows from a heart that’s surrendered to the ground of being, a yearning of intimacy with the wildly Divine and the communion that offers up the perfect words… a prayer of intuition and embodied ecstasy!
Remember how we used to pray with our entire body as an offering up to receive the returning wave of grace – a gift of tears, laughter, surrender and revelation that answers a call to deepen and receive that which is unfolding in the recesses of your blossoming heart? It’s an act of divine worship to honour and bow down before the Light flickering within and to beseech a power greater than your human mutterings. To get down on your knees, disrobe and bare your naked self before the altar of Truth, we’ll feel the flame of heaven and earth meeting at the centre of our inner temple.
I’m suggesting that breath is the ultimate prayer, to be the change as we hear the prayer passing through, to command the sacred to enter you, and take up residence… a prayer so profound that you are overcome by its succulence and overflowing love – an inner romance and sacred utterance of complete divine intoxication.
Do you pray from emptiness or fullness? Is your bleeding time a prayer of powerful purpose, so that radiance flowers outward and flows from this fertile ground? When you pray from within the light of your living heart temple, you feel the peaceful juiciness – the expansion, and you know that your prayer is already answered. Do you pray for others as a rite of passage? When you pray from within your depths, you’re light is embraced by Light beyond separation, beyond your wanting and beyond the structures of the world. When you pray from within that Light, you feel enveloped. Something comes to fully embrace you and the answer has already arrived!
