It’s time for the return of magic in everyday living, to bring the playfulness of your child-like nature to every task and wonderment to every challenge and opportunity. Weaving the energy of alchemy within the ordinary calls the spirit of your being into high gear and brings things to life in a whole new way. You no longer leave behind the sacredness of ceremony to attend to daily life, but live daily life in the sacredness of ceremony. You step into non-ordinary time and skillfully make every moment of your life precious.
Ceremony is defined as any customary practice or prescribed procedure for conducting formal actions used to celebrate an event. Outdated and habitual ritual that follows a prescribed script or form can be flat and austere. It’s also described as any activity that is performed in an especially elaborate or formal way. This implies that ceremony is reserved for special events, such as weddings, births, birthdays, burials and religious ritual.
Ceremony can be found in the simplest of things.
When you’re fully engaged in the moment, you’re invited to live in holiness, awe and reverence through every activity of your day, no matter where you are. Reading the subtleties of the energetic terrain allows for sacredness, the devotional, to penetrate every activity and flower with a deeper sense of intention. Bring your awareness to culinary preparation, flowers into a bath after a long day, a prayer over your meal before eating, offering water to the Earth before you drink, a kind gesture or word to a co-worker, setting sacred space in the boardroom before a meeting, bowing to the seat or cushion before you meditate as an honouring of your Self… all of this and more is an offering of possibility and blessing.
True ceremony is spontaneous and alive with depth and mythic meaning, born of the mystical - a creative intelligence in the language of spirit imbued with your genius, gifts and artistry. It cultivates a reservoir of joy in your heart and spaciousness shows up more often in your day.
A ceremonial life is an inspired activity that gives back to the Earth.
It’s about relatedness in the real world, new terrain unfolding before us as a rite of passage for change and transformation. The evolutionary shifts us from linear time into sacred time, allowing us to be present more fully, to love more freely, to live more joyfully, to share our gifts and blessings more abundantly, to trust more deeply, to surrender to the creative flow of the universe more transparently, and to allow the power of grace to sweep through more fluidly. You understand that you are light, that the world is light and that light is the essence of everything, revealing itself as our capacity to know, to be aware, to be love, and to enjoy our deepest experience.
